    The purpose of the Social Concerns Committee is to educate (Hosea 4:6) and motivate (Revelation 3:16, Joshua 24:15) our congregation and community regarding moral issues of societal or cultural significance and/or issues on which Scripture gives clear principles or guidelines. We provide tools to increase Christian involvement in shaping public debate on moral concerns at the local, state, and national levels and focus on the development and promotion of committed Christian citizenship.

    Alert Bulletin
              Each month the Social Concerns Committee publishes an Alert Bulletin on local, state, national, & even international issues where Christians can take action!
     
         Click the link to the left to download this month's Alert. 
     
         Churches are welcome to use the First Baptist Alert in their own bulletins.  If need be, feel free to change the masthead to replace it with that of your own church.  Also, local information that does not pertain to your area could be substituted with information about your own local issues.
