At First Baptist Church we offer many opportunites for our youngest children, from the Sunday morning and evening and Wednesday night nurseries, to Bible Study Fellowship, where they begin to learn about Jesus through songs and acivities. Here at FBC, you can be sure that your child is loved and cared for.
As your children move into elementary school, FBC moves with them, providing opportunities for a variety of activities and fellowship. FBC provides the Awana program, children's choirs, Girls in Action, and Royal Ambassadors, as well as seasonal activities throughout the year.
At a time when the world and all its influences are being felt throughout the family, students are provided with real grounding and mentoring through the Chosen Student Ministries of First Baptist Church. At Chosen, we grow leaders.
Through Journey, our single adult ministry, young adults continue to be mentored into spiritual maturity. Coffee house worship, ski trips, and regular mission trips round out the opportunities to stay connected and grow in the Lord while fellowshipping with spiritually like-minded young adults at this crossroad time of life.
Adult Ministries
Adult Bible Study Fellowship, is where adults of all ages are given the opportunity to network with people who are in similar life stages, to find encouragement, hope, support and inspiration together. GrowthPoint consists of small group Bible studies that meet a variety of times and places to explore the teaching of the Word of God on issues such as marriage, parenting, family, leadership, money, work, play, being a woman, being a man, leisure.... Growth Point studies range from two to twelve weeks and are designed around specific needs. New classes form regularly to provide ample opportunity for people to get "plugged in." Senior Adults are a vital part of the church family here at First Baptist, with a variety of ministry opportunites as well as fun activities. One Heart Women's Ministry and Men@FBC provide opportunities for Bible study, mentoring and support programs, conferences, service, and fun get-togethers. All in all, there is something for all adults to CONNECT, GROW, and SERVE at First Baptist, Brunswick.
At First Baptist Church, there is opportunity for the budding musician from age 4, through Children's Choir, to Youth, in Choir, Handbells, and Orchestra, through Senior Adults in Choir, ensembles, and Orchestra. Frequently throughout the year, our musicians glorify the Lord through presentations of musicals, along with their regular Sunday morning and Sunday evening offerings.
At First Baptist, we have our Prayer Point prayer ministry, where we share our needs and help carry each other's cares to the Lord in prayer. Prayer Point sponsors prayer emphases such as EXPANDING THE BOUNDARIES, our vision for the future of the church, prayer for upcoming outreach events, and prayer for our missionaries...to name a few.
